In January of 2025, a daring dozen Global Travelers spent two weeks in Ethiopia. Our trip included a visit to the city of Arba Minch, where we had the opportunity to meet with the university’s English language club. Together, we enjoyed pizza and a performance by an acrobatic troop comprised of formerly homeless youth while the students exercised their English language skills. We also visited the university’s agriculture nursery, showcasing sustainable practices. This wonderful cultural exchange gained the attention of the US State Department and the leadership at Arba Minch University (see the documents below).
