As Rotarians, we are people of action who value service above self. As Global Travelers, we put that into practice primarily with an international perspective. Our club and our members serve in several ways:
- We lead and participate in grants
- We contribute where we travel
- We volunteer locally (serving the world together, separately)
- We contribute to our Grants and Service Fund, The Rotary Foundation, and to End Polio Now.

Our Grants
Grants are an essential part of what we do as Global Travelers. They are key to how we serve the world. Our club has decided to focus exclusively on international projects.
Our participation in grants depends upon our members’ donations to our Grants and Service Fund. We also benefit from significant matching funds from District 5950 and from The Rotary Foundation.
Grants come in several varieties:
- Our club can be the primary sponsor of a Small International Grant ($30,000 or less)
- Our club can be the primary sponsor of a Global Grant (> $30,000)
- Our club can be a collaborator on either a Small International Grant or a Global Grant sponsored by another club.
In our brief history, we have done all of the above. Read about our grants in Where and How We Contribute.

Contributing When We Travel
Travel is in our name, and it is a core part of our mission. Wherever we go, we strive to make connections with local Rotary clubs. We attend their meetings. We visit their projects. We exchange flags. And we often make a financial contribution to their work.

Volunteering
As a geographically dispersed club, we’ve put on our own unique spin on volunteering. Several times a year, we encourage our members to “serve together, separately.” We call these virtual service projects, and they range from donating school supplies to neighborhood clean-up. Read more about our virtual service projects.
Also several times a year, many of our members gather for social time, often coupled with a service project. We’ve assembled emergency kits in Kansas City and participated in a Habitat for Humanity build in northern Minnesota.
Donating
As Rotarians, we contribute our time, our talents, and our treasure. Our members’ donations to The Rotary Foundation and to our Grants and Service Foundation enable us to lead and collaborate on grants. Learn more about How Your Contributions Impact Grants Everywhere.
Like Rotarians across the globe, our members also contribute to the effort to eradicate polio.
