TRIP ORGANIZER MICHELLE MCLEAN
From wildlife and waterholes to towering red dunes, Namibia is a country made for adventure. In November 2027, Global Travelers will have the opportunity to experience some of its most spectacular landscapes on a 12-day journey through Namibia, organised by Associate Member Michelle McLean.
The adventure begins in Windhoek before heading north to Etosha National Park, where game drives and a visit to a private waterhole offer opportunities to experience Namibia’s remarkable wildlife.
From there, we’ll travel through Damaraland, including a Himba village visit and an elephant excursion, before continuing to the coast. In Swakopmund, plans include a full-day catamaran dolphin and seal cruise, a Sandwich Harbour dune drive and a social gathering with local Rotarians.
Then it’s into the Namib Desert for another of the trip’s highlights: Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, with their enormous sand dunes and unforgettable desert landscapes.
And because this is a Rotary trip, there’s more than sightseeing. The itinerary also includes opportunities to meet Namibian Rotarians and a visit connected with a Rotarian service project before departure.
