Full and Associate members are all encouraged to find a way to give back to the club. You can be a committee member, a committee chair or co-chair, or a club officer. We have many opportunities to contribute your time and talent. Please contact President Lenet Compton or President Elect Jelan Heidelberg through the Ignite app or via the GT email rotaryglobaltravelers@gmail.com by February 1
Global Travelers is closing in on our fifth anniversary this Spring! We are going strong with 140+ members because of the combination of an exciting mission, great people and good organization! Our club’s future will continue to depend on many members making a contribution of their time and talent. From chairing or serving on committees to planning events and trips to serving as club officers – there are roles for everyone.
At this mid-point in the Rotary year – we are looking to recruit those who will fill key roles in the next year July 1, 2026-June 30, 2027. Full and Associate members are all encouraged to find a way to give back to the club. Our goal is for all committees to have a chair and co-chair with many active committee members and to have individuals or small teams take a leadership role in organizing socials, service, trips, fundraisers, grant projects and more.
The only role where only full members can serve is that of President which is a three-year commitment serving as president elect, president then past president. Club presidents are the connection to the district and RI, interact with all committees, chair the executive committee and help all aspects of the club work together so being active in the life of the club is the best way to prepare for becoming a successful president.
One challenge of leading a virtual club is not knowing all members well enough to know everyone’s gifts and talents so we need members to let us know how you want to engage and get involved! By expressing interest, we can find a great role for you and provide experiences that can help you prepare for club leadership! Please contact President Lenet Compton or President Elect Jelan Heidelburg through the Ignite app or via the GT email rotaryglobaltravelers@gmail.com by February 1 (but sooner is great) to let us know how you want to contribute to our wonderful club!
