Several times a year, our geographically dispersed Global Travelers accept a challenge to serve together, separately. Our service committee has been very creative in presenting various themes for service over the years. This spring, we’re encouraging our members to volunteer (or provide financial support) in a youth group in your local community.
The challenge runs from the end of April through the end of May. Take pictures and send them to rotaryglobaltravelers@gmail.com with the subject SPRING VIRTUAL CHALLENGE
Please note: privacy and the protection of children’s identities are important. Check with the organization where you are volunteering about their guidelines for photographs.
If you’re not already involved with a youth organization, here are some suggestions:
- Get involved with a Rotary youth program (like Youth Exchange, RYLA, or Interact)
- Donate supplies or snacks for children’s groups
- Volunteer at your local school, community center, faith community, etc.
- Participate in a fundraiser for a youth organization (Big Brothers & Sisters, YMCA, scouts, a youth sports team, community theater, etc.)
