HOW WE SERVE

In-Person Service Projects

When Global Travelers get together, whether for travel or for social time, we try to combine it with a service project. Sometimes the service project even dictates the travel.

Serving Wherever We Gather

Travel and service go hand in hand at Global Travelers.

Whether we're gathering for a club trip, regional social, or informal meetup, we look for ways to make a difference in the communities we visit. That might mean packing disaster relief kits, planting trees in the Amazon, supporting local schools, or helping build homes.

No matter where we meet, service is part of the journey.

Two Global Travelers cleaning up a Rotary camp in Florida after a hurricane

Rotary Camp Cleanup

January 2025

Not every project is big. For this project, ten Global Travelers rolled up their sleeves to clear post-hurricane brush and debris at Rotary’s Camp Florida, a facility that serves children and adults with disabilities.

Our club also donated $500 to support the camp. The service project was part of a larger gathering that brought members together for fellowship and fun.

Other Projects

Our service takes many forms! Global Travelers have packed medical supplies in Tulsa, helped university students practice English in Ethiopia, packed baseball equipment and food for Nicaragua, and spruced up exercise equipment in Tampa.

Wherever we gather, we look for opportunities to connect with local communities and lend a hand.
