How to Upload a New Zoom Background

As part of our club’s 5th anniversary celebration, you might have submitted a High 5 and received a link to a Zoom background. Or, you might just want to display a picture or a Rotary background instead of your messy home office. Follow these simple instructions to give your Zoom a new look.

Step 1: Download the Background

1. Click the background image link from the email you received.
2. When it opens, right-click the image (or press and hold on Mac).
3. Choose “Save Image As…”
4. Save it somewhere easy to find (like your Desktop or Downloads).

That’s it for downloading.

Step 2: Open Zoom

1. Open the Zoom app (not the website).
2. Click your profile picture in the top right corner or click Video at the bottom of the display.
3. Click Settings.
4. Click Backgrounds & Effects (sometimes called “Virtual Background”).

Step 3: Upload the New Background

1. Click the + (plus) sign.
2. Choose Add Image.
3. Find the file you just saved (Desktop or Downloads).
4. Click it.

Voila!
