Every September 21, we honor the International Day of Peace. It provides an opportunity to imagine communities where understanding replaces division and cooperation prevails over conflict.

For Rotary members, peace is part of our DNA. Through service projects, fellowships, education programs, and training in Positive Peace, we work year-round to address the roots of tension and build conditions where peace can take hold.

Across the globe, Rotary Peace Centers prepare leaders to prevent and resolve conflict. Action Groups, Friendship Exchanges, and youth programs bring people together across cultures, encouraging trust and new solutions. Even local projects, such as mentoring young people, supporting schools, and helping neighbours in need, all add up to a ripple effect of goodwill.

Whether you’re a long-time Rotarian or simply someone who wants to make a difference, you can help nurture peace in everyday ways: volunteering, sharing stories of hope, learning conflict-resolution skills, or just extending kindness to a stranger.
