Our club has traditionally gotten together in September in northern Minnesota for a “fall retreat,” hosted by Paula and Thomas Schwartz. This year, Paula and Thomas are taking a well-deserved year off, and we’re changing things up a bit.
We’re moving the event to mid-August in Alexandria, Minnesota. And we’re building on our successful Habit for Humanity events from the past 2 years.
We’re in early stages of planning but this is what we have so far:
- Thursday, August 13 — half-day Habitat shift alternating with half-day social activity
- Friday, August 14 — half-day Habitat shift alternating with half-day social activity
- Saturday, August 15 — Full day social at Melanie and Mike DeLuca’s cabin
We have several members in the Alexandria area who are combining forces to plan a great week-end for our members. Some housing will be available, and there are many hotels in the Alexandria area. Stay tuned for more information soon. To help our planners, please RSVP to indicate your interest:
